As Bi-Cultural students journey through their school years they look forward to thr 8th grade Israel Experience. As parents of 7th grade (soon to be 8th grade) students, Bi-Cultural trys to provide various fund raising opportunities to help defray the cost of the trip. We wanted to inform you of two programs designed to help you defray the cost of your child's participation in Israel Experience '09.
School Scrip - As in the past, BCDS is selling scrip for Stop & Shop, A&P and Grade A (Shop-Rite). For every $100.00 card sold, $5.00 will be credited toward your child's Israel trip.
This year our bookkeeper, Lucia Hall, is in charge of the Scrip program. In an effort to streamline the process, we have instituted the following procedures:
JNF: Plant Your Way to Israel - We are pleased to introduce a new and exciting program offered by the Jewish National Fund. Students can raise money toward Israel Experience '09 by asking family and friends to plant trees with JNF through a personalized webppage your family sets up. Half of the proceeds of each donation ($36 minimum) will go toward planting a tree in Israel and the other half will go into a student account which can be redeemed for Israel Experience '09.
